I have one 42-cup West Bend coffee urn, two 30-cup West Bends, and one 100-cup. All have functioned flawlessly and repeatedly for the past 12 years. I tried two of the fancier looking imported stainless steel models (Waring), and one of them stopped working after only the 5th use. So now I will stick with dependable West Bend models.
Ordered this perk for parties. So far it works great. It also doesn't look too cheezy sitting on the counter. I would recomend this not only for the price but for the great coffee it makes.
We purchased this item to sample hot chocolate and coffee. We had to unplug the pots for up to 30 minutes at a time to keep the temperature at just hot - versus sonic hot. I have used percolaters before and had a good experience with them. Unfortunately with this machine, the hot chocolate and coffee was too hot to drink and even made the cups to hot to hold. I wouldn't reccomend this product to anyone.
Product is operating as it should and makes excellent coffee.Good buy as there are many more expensive urns out there. This makes wonderful coffee for less money.
easy to use, well priced, everyone said my coffee was great. I think this is a great buy for the money. not that pretty but it is not for dispaly on a buffet, it is in my kitchen so it really did not matter to me and the pretty ones are very costly
